The MUBA is a tiered program pacing athletes against their own abilities with the guidance and knowledge of world class coaching staff both on and off the court. There is an extensive selection criteria and selection camps as an entry point with academy offers to successful athletes as a result.
The MUBA incorporates the guidance of the Melbourne United coaches and high performance staff.
The MUBA provides young Victorian basketball players, both male and female aged from under 12 to 18, an introduction into world class training methods for basketball skill development and individual physical preparation.
Athletes will be immersed in a program created to develop basketball skills, strength and conditioning, speed and agility, as well as health and well-being.
Talent Identification is the process for identifying and evaluating the capacity of athletes who are considered to have the skill, physical attributes and work ethic to advance to the MUBA Training Program.
Our MUBA talent identification camps are led by Melbourne United staff and top coaches from Victoria who are sanctioned by Melbourne United.
At Talent ID Camps and events, athletes will be put through their paces, participate in a series of basketball skills and drills to show our MUBA Talent ID scouts what they've got!
