Open to Performance Academy athletes, the MUBA Combine will see boys and girls be taken through specific basketball combine testing, similar to that of the NBA Draft combine, before teaming up for a round robin tournament where they’ll be coached by Melbourne United’s Dean Vickerman, Jacob Chance, Rhys Carter and David Barlow. Development Academy athletes will also get the opportunity to hit the court together in their own round robin.
For the first time, MUBA athletes will have the opportunity to earn a Melbourne United Academy Scholarship, granting them access to exclusive benefits. Working with United’s NBL coaches and training staff, athletes will go behind the scenes, taking part in individual training sessions, developing through a nutrition and strength and conditioning program.
